Saint Laurent felt incredibly focused. Anthony Vaccarello has been on a strong run with the house, and this collection only reinforced that. It was sharp, sensual, and very confident in its identity. Nothing felt forced. Everything felt exactly where it needed to be.

This season marked the 60th anniversary of Le Smoking, Yves Saint Laurent’s groundbreaking tuxedo for women. What started as a radical statement in 1966 still feels powerful today, and Vaccarello clearly understands how central it is to the brand’s DNA. The show opened with a sequence of dark trouser suits, many worn with nothing underneath. The tailoring looked insanely luxe. The sloped shoulders and fluid construction kept them sharp but not stiff. These suits were the real highlight. Just really good, really desirable tailoring that reminded you why Saint Laurent does this better than anyone.

The styling pushed that energy even further. Hair was slicked back into tight buns, while smoky eyes and glossy dark red lips nodded to the brand’s late 70s and 80s imagery, especially the iconic Helmut Newton visuals. It added to the mood without distracting from the clothes.

Alongside the tailoring came another signature Vaccarello contrast: delicate lace pieces. Silicone-coated lace dresses, cardigans, and pencil skirts hugged the body in a way that felt both fragile and strong. From afar they almost looked like latex, but up close the craftsmanship was clear. The lace suits in particular looked pristine.

There were also moments of drama. Oversized shearling coats, glossy raincoats, and bold jewelry brought texture and attitude to the lineup. But the core message stayed clear the whole time. Very sexy, very demure in that quiet YSL way. Vaccarello continues to prove that no one really does subtle sex appeal like Saint Laurent. And honestly, he is still killing it here.
