This collection by Julian Klausner felt like one of those collections where every detail actually matters. And with this house, that is exactly the point. Dries has always lived in the details, and Klausner clearly understands that language. The show took place at Lycée Carnot in Paris, the same high school venue used by the brand years ago. The setting immediately tapped into the idea behind the collection: the strange, emotional moment of adolescence, when personal identity is still forming and clothes become a way to experiment with who you are.

It began with the familiar language of school uniforms. Toggle coats, blazers, shirts and ties, all sharply tailored and neat. But that order didn’t last long. Soon the looks started loosening up. Plaids appeared, varsity jackets came into play, and denim pieces were layered with embroidery, beads, and pixelated motifs inspired by Flemish still life paintings. It felt like watching someone try on different identities, which is exactly what high school style is about.

The colors were honestly kind of insane – Rich reds, deep bronzes, jewel tones, flashes of gold. Everything felt regal and lush without losing that youthful energy. And the textures were just as strong. Gobelin-style jacquards, chunky knits, embroidered ribbons, sequins stitched into denim. You almost wanted to reach through the screen and touch everything.

What really worked was the balance. Klausner mixed opulence with everyday pieces in a way that felt very Dries. A varsity jacket with an embroidered ribbon skirt. A bronze jacquard coat with knit sleeves. A denim set elevated with intricate beadwork. It all built into a rich, layered collection that swung between polished and slightly raw, sophisticated but still playful.

Honestly, this might be one of the strongest collections this season. Klausner isn’t just continuing the Dries Van Noten legacy. He’s clearly thriving inside it.
