The new Marni is here. With Meryll Rogge now at the helm, this collection felt like a fresh reset for the brand. It still carried Marni’s love for color, texture, and offbeat charm, but the overall direction felt slightly more refined than what we’ve seen in the past.
The first thing that stood out was the mix of prints and fabrics. There was a real abundance of visual detail across the collection. Floral patterns clashed with graphic motifs, textured knits appeared next to silky dresses, and layered looks brought different surfaces together in a way that felt playful but still considered. It had that slightly chaotic energy that Marni has always done well, but here it felt a little more controlled.
At the same time, there were moments that felt very familiar. Some looks carried hints of other brands or trends currently moving through Milan. Still, the overall mood felt distinctly Milanese. Think bourgeois boho. Polished but relaxed, slightly eccentric but still wearable. Oversized coats, softly structured tailoring, fluid dresses, and layered separates created silhouettes that felt easy but styled with intention.
Rogge seemed interested in exploring contrast. Structured pieces sat next to softer shapes. Rich fabrics mixed with lighter textures. The color palette moved confidently from deep tones to brighter pops, giving the runway a lively rhythm. What worked particularly well was the styling. Scarves, layered knits, and textured outerwear added depth without making the looks feel overly complicated. There was a sense of personality throughout, like each outfit belonged to someone with a clear point of view.
In a season filled with louder statements across Milan, this collection might fly slightly under the radar. But that would be a mistake. Marni quietly delivered a balance of refinement and eccentricity, making it one of the more underrated shows of the season.
