Martens built the collection around the idea of the “walk of shame,” or as the show framed it, the walk home after a very good night out. Clothes looked like they had been thrown on in a rush the next morning. Shirts twisted around the body, knits pulled unevenly, denim jackets yanked into strange shapes. Tank tops, button downs, twinsets, and skirts were all manipulated through wrapping, twisting, and pulling, giving familiar pieces a slightly off balance energy.

Nothing about the silhouettes felt overly polished. Instead, everything looked lived in. Denim was coated and stiffened as if it had survived spilled drinks. Shirts wrapped into dresses. T shirts tangled with check skirts to create jumpsuit like shapes. Knitwear featured floral details peeking through necklines, while pleated dresses and quilted wraps added more texture to the mix. It all felt like clothing that had been grabbed quickly from the floor but somehow still looked cool.

That sense of playful disorder also connected back to Martens’s love for textile manipulation, something he has explored before. The techniques were not necessarily new here, but that actually worked in the collection’s favor. Diesel has always thrived on this kind of rough, rebellious attitude, and Martens leaned fully into it.

Even the set matched the mood. The runway space was filled with thousands of random objects pulled from Diesel’s archives and party props, creating a chaotic environment that felt part rave, part messy bedroom after a long night. It looked raw, even though the whole thing was clearly intentional.

The overall vibe could probably be described as a kind of romantic grunge. Or maybe rom-rom grunge. Nothing revolutionary, but still fun.
