Demna’s second act at Gucci felt like a deliberate jolt. He set the show inside a museum-like arena inspired by Botticelli and the Uffizi, but the clothes were pure now, face-forward and loud. This was less about quiet heritage and more about turning the house into a feeling you can wear to the club. This Gucci was all about sex appeal. There was shimmer everywhere.

Fabric hugged tattoos and skin like a second layer, and from there the collection stayed tight and body conscious. Muscle tees, tube dresses, and low-rise leather trousers sketched the silhouette: compressed, sculpted, unapologetically visible. Tailoring showed up too, but in liquid, glossy fabrics that moved with the body rather than burying it. There was a smart tension between the athletic and the glamorous.

Textures played a big part. Lurex and sequins caught the lights, satin and crushed leathers added sheen, and brushed shearlings gave a softer counterpoint. Accessories were Gucci through and through, but updated. The Jackie bag felt less stiff, more casual. Logo tights and belted double Gs were right in the mix, used like punctuation rather than the main sentence.

Styling pushed a clear message. Stilettos were sky high, some models were barefoot in pajama-like sequins, and the occasional fur-lined slipper made a cheeky cameo. The cast amplified the mood. A mix of internet names, athletes, and old runway icons made the show feel like a moment you did not want to miss. The walks were intentionally off, a little wonky, which somehow made the sexiness feel more immediate and lived in. This was Tom Ford era nostalgia, but filtered through Demna’s louder aesthetic. It also catered heavily to conventionally perfect, almost exaggerated sexed-up bodies, with clothes designed to cling, stretch, and show off every curve and muscle.

Demna clearly designed for a specific character here. Someone bold, loud, and completely comfortable with attention. Maybe next season that character will change. But this collection proved something important. Demna knows how to command a moment. And with Gucci, he’s ready to take the brand on a wild ride.
