Burberry closed London Fashion Week with a collection that felt made for a very specific moment: a cold London night when everyone is heading somewhere. Daniel Lee shifted the brand away from last season’s countryside energy and into the city after dark, staging the show at Old Billingsgate with a glowing replica of Tower Bridge and glossy “puddles” across the runway. The mood was slick, a little dramatic, and very London.

And honestly, it was trench mania.

Burberry is built on the trench coat, and Lee leaned fully into that idea. There were trenches for every kind of night out. Some were soft and feminine with dramatic ruffled collars, others came in leather, check, crumpled silk, or heavy shearling. One of the standout pieces featured a map of the surrounding London streets etched into the leather, pulled from the house archives. Most of them had slightly oversized shapes with relaxed shoulders, giving them that cool, effortless feel.

If you love trench coats, this collection was basically heaven. The variety alone made it exciting, and the textures made it even better. Leather, wool, shearling, satin, and beading created a really tactile experience on the runway. Everything looked rich and touchable.

The color palette stayed mostly dark and moody. Think deep burgundy, midnight blue, black, and plum. It added a sense of depth and drama that worked perfectly with the nighttime theme. There were also flashes of sparkle through beaded dresses and tasseled evening pieces that felt made for a dance floor somewhere in Soho or Mayfair. Very chic indeed.
