Catherine Holstein staged Khaite’s show like a full experience. There was a cinematic quality to it, but also something very current. This collection was stunning in its confidence. It captured everything Khaite does best while pushing the woman forward. This was power dressing, rewritten for the cool girl right now.

The silhouettes were immediately impactful. Tailored leather jackets, officer coats with decorative braiding, and structured trousers gave the collection its strong backbone. These pieces felt authoritative without losing sensuality. Holstein balanced that sharpness with softer, more delicate moments. Sheer organza dresses, lace slip gowns, and fluid midi skirts floated around the body, creating a contrast that felt intentional and very chic. The mix of sheer and opaque, hard and soft, was one of the collection’s strongest points.

Texture played a huge role. Crocodile coats, velvet, lace, and leather added depth and richness. Nothing felt flat. Even the styling pushed the attitude further. Models wore exaggerated pointy pumps and boots that looked intentionally wrinkled, along with long, claw-like nails and dark sunglasses. It gave everything a slightly gothic, rebellious energy that made the looks feel more dangerous and exciting.

Holstein drew inspiration from Orson Welles’ film F for Fake, exploring ideas of authenticity and illusion. That translated into pieces that felt both classic and experimental. Military references, vintage-inspired lace, and dramatic evening silhouettes all worked together without feeling forced.
