Titled Home Sweet Home?, Prabal Gurung’s collection was luxe, glam, and deeply elegant, but not in a loud or obvious sense. This was dramatic quiet luxury. The kind that pulls you in through texture and presence.

The show opened with suiting, which immediately set the tone. Black and white tailored looks referenced Gurung’s Catholic school uniform, but they were softened with drape, lace trims, and subtle embroidery. These pieces felt personal but also powerful. They were structured without feeling stiff. You could sense the idea of resilience behind them. It was elegance with backbone. The coats, especially the quilted ones inspired by school duvets and nun habits, added another layer of comfort and protection. They looked rich and tactile, like pieces you would instinctively want to touch.

Eveningwear remained central to Gurung’s world, and here it leaned fully into glamour. Draped gowns, feathered textures, and embellishments with pearls and emerald tones brought a sense of magic. The jewel toned palette of deep plums, charcoals, and sapphires gave everything a heavier, more emotional depth. These were not carefree party dresses. They carried weight, memory, and meaning.

At times, the collection could have benefited from a more obvious visual cohesion. The references were layered and personal, and not every transition felt seamless. But strangely, that did not take away from the overall impact. The message and energy came through clearly. This was about home, identity, and strength, interpreted through luxury and craft. More than anything, Gurung delivered a feeling.
