oseph Altuzarra’s collection felt like a full commitment to texture, volume, and statement outerwear. It was one of those shows where individual pieces immediately stood out. The coats especially carried the collection. Cocoon shaped peacoats with oversized lapels, brushed shearling bombers, and heavy leather jackets created strong silhouettes that felt protective and bold. There was a bulkiness to many of the looks, but it worked in their favor. Instead of feeling overwhelming, the volume gave the clothes presence.

Texture was everywhere and handled with confidence. Shearling, suede, tweed, lace, and fringe all came together in ways that felt rich but not chaotic. Some jersey dresses were decorated with fringe at the neckline and hip, while sweaters came with integrated hoods or dramatic shawl details. Even simple pieces had something unexpected, like a turtleneck that extended into a cape or carpenter pants reworked in plush suede. These details made the collection visually engaging without feeling forced.

The styling leaned slightly eccentric, but in a controlled and intentional way. There was a clear balance between drama and practicality, which connects to Altuzarra’s inspiration from Spanish art, cinema, and the idea of bringing theatrical emotion into everyday clothing. Dramatic flamenco inspired skirts appeared alongside structured coats, creating contrast between softness and strength.

At times, the collection felt very commercial. It did not always have that surprising moments that define a season. But even within that, there was undeniable desirability. Many pieces felt instantly wearable and relevant.

There was also an energy that recalled the effortless chic of Phoebe Philo’s Celine. Not in a direct reference, but in the quiet confidence of the silhouettes and the focus on strong, luxurious essentials.
