Thom Browne might be one of the most recognized names in fashion, yet somehow he still feels underrated. His Spring 2026 show proved once again that no one builds a world quite like him. This time, that world was outer space. Aliens landed in Paris—green crystal heads, silver skin, and all—and they came dressed in the kind of clothes you’d absolutely want to steal. It was theatrical, clever, and surprisingly wearable beneath all the fantasy.
The show opened with Browne’s signature gray tailoring, reimagined through a sci-fi lens. Jackets curved in new ways, shoulders shifted forward, and pleated skirts sat low on the hips. It was classic Thom, but just off enough to feel new. The craftsmanship was insane—tweeds light enough to float, chiffon checks, and coats that shimmered like constellations. There were bright stripes, seersucker, even varsity-style jackets turned into couture-level pieces. The layering, the proportions, the pops of unexpected color—it all felt alive.
And yet, beneath the aliens and spectacle, there was real heart. Browne’s ability to merge conceptual storytelling with clothes people actually want to wear is unmatched. He’s funny, serious, nerdy, and poetic all at once. If aliens really do take over wearing Thom Browne, I’ll happily join them. Because somehow, even at the edge of the universe, his vision feels completely human.
