Michael Rider’s Spring 2026 collection for Celine confirmed his growing grip of the house’s distinct Parisian-Americana aesthetic. Shown in the airy Parc de Saint-Cloud, the collection blended Phoebe Philo’s refined minimalism with Hedi Slimane’s lean, youthful edge, all filtered through Rider’s own polished, preppy sensibility. The result was ultracool Parisian chic—sophisticated but approachable.
Rider’s tailoring was the highlight. Blazers, double-breasted coats, and equestrian-inspired trousers were rendered in multiple cuts, from skinnies and peg-top chinos to relaxed wide legs. Mini A-line dresses in pop-art florals, sequined bubble silhouettes, and draped evening tops added contrast, while layering, subtle draping, and fluid lines brought a sense of movement and modern ease. Navy, black, and cream dominated, punctuated by primary-colored pops that kept the palette lively without straying from the refined tone.
Silk scarves were reimagined as ties, rugby-style shirts, shoulder bags, and belts, turning a conservative accessory into a versatile statement piece. Accessories like Celine bicycle helmets underscored the collection’s thoughtful nod to contemporary Parisian life: fashion as lived, active, and current. It was a wardrobe designed to move through life—on a bike, in the park, at a rooftop dinner; all exuding cool without ever trying too hard.
