Saint Laurent’s Spring 2026 collection by Anthony Vaccarello was pure cinematic glamour, and easily one of the strongest offerings of the season. The show, staged under the Eiffel Tower in a lush, hydrangea-filled garden, captured the brand’s essence while reminding us why Saint Laurent remains synonymous with provocative femininity.

The collection unfolded in three striking chapters: leather, nylon, and voluminous gowns. Leather dominated the opening, with power-shouldered jackets, pencil skirts, and crisp white pussy-bow blouses creating a commanding yet sensual presence. These looks referenced the 1980s Saint Laurent heritage while feeling unapologetically modern. Vaccarello’s use of nylon for trench coats, filmy safari dresses, and billowing evening gowns was a clever twist, the gowns could even be scrunched into zip-up bags like windbreakers. The material flowed beautifully on the runway, offering glimpses of the female form while maintaining a sense of elegance and movement.

The finale of voluminous, technical-fabric gowns felt almost theatrical, yet never excessive. They were romantic and bold, echoing historical references from the house archives and cinema, yet brought to life with the effortless cool Vaccarello is known for. Throughout, the collection balanced contrasts: hard leather and soft fabrics, structured tailoring and flowing silhouettes, opulence and restraint.

What stood out most was how Vaccarello builds brand identity through clarity and confidence. Each look reinforced Saint Laurent’s codes while allowing the women wearing them to feel commanding and glamorous.
