Dimitra Petsa dug deep into the idea of the ‘archaeology of self’ using mythology, memory, and fragments of Greek identity as her inspiration. The result was a collection that balanced her signature draped sensuality with a more wearable, everyday edge.

The prints were charming blue-and-white seashells, moon phases, and playful slogans like “Ancient Male Figure” and “Angel of Athens.” They nodded to tourist-shop kitsch but reclaimed it with humor and elegance. Draped dresses hugged the body in that effortless Petsa way, fringed pieces moved beautifully, and sarongs and T-shirt dresses offered versatility. While the finale dress didn’t quite land, the rest of the show was strong, proving that Petsa can expand her vocabulary without losing her essence.

What stood out was how she managed to be obvious about Greece in just the right amount. Nothing felt heavy-handed or clichéd. Instead, the collection reflected both her personal story and the broader cultural narrative, history filtered through love, heartbreak, and memory. It was thoughtful but never weighed down, mythic yet commercial.
