Lorenzo Serafini imagined a wardrobe for a private life, for women who favor discretion over display, intimacy over exhibition. It wasn’t the romantic, emotional Ferretti I usually connect with. The clothes were objectively beautiful—fluid caftans, kimono-inspired dresses, and pajama-like trousers in airy fabrics—but somehow the collection didn’t fully resonate. The cream-carpeted runway, soft hues of blush, mint, and neutrals, and airy silhouettes all evoked a serene domestic elegance. The collection was grounded in ease and comfort, with loose sleeves, handkerchief hems, and Fortuny-style pleating flowing effortlessly. Accessories, like pebble-studded moccasins, suggested a life of casual sophistication, always ready for the next quiet errand or gathering.
There were moments of spark—bold leopard prints and gilded jersey gowns hinted at a more confident, assertive side, overall the collection leaned toward subtlety. Serafini’s vision of women living gracefully on their own terms is clear, even if the emotional connection was a little elusive.
