Harris Reed marked his tenth season with a collection that was pure drama from start to finish. It was over the top in the best way, a photographer’s dream filled with swirling fabrics, towering platforms, and silhouettes that felt straight out of an 80s Mugler fantasy. Every look hit like a showpiece, not designed for practicality but for spectacle. These are clothes meant to be admired, cherished, and immortalized in editorials, not packed away in a carry-on.
Staged in the moody Gothic Bar at the St. Pancras Hotel, the show leaned into a mix of fantasy and nostalgia, drawing on 70s London nightlife, animal prints, and Reed’s signature sense of theatrical excess. Leopard and tiger patterns brushed up against duchess satins, frothy tulles, feathers, and gilded wallpapers, the kind of textures that make you lean closer just to take it all in. The title “The Aviary” was fitting, with cage-like structures and winged silhouettes suggesting both confinement and freedom, making the models feel like rare birds in motion.
For all the maximalism, there were glimpses of Reed reflecting on his house codes after ten seasons, and even hints of wearability peeking through. Still, it’s clear his magic lies in creating fantasy, not functionality. This collection reminded us that not everything in fashion needs to be practical, sometimes it’s about spectacle, and Reed delivered exactly that.
