Grace Ling’s Spring 2026 collection, titled Future Relics, was soft but super sharp, deeply sexy, and without question a strong New York voice on the runway. She’s built a reputation for marrying cutting-edge technology with sensual, sculptural design, and this season pushed that duality further than ever.

The show opened with Debra Shaw in a 3D-printed metallic petal top and fluid satin skirt, a look that set the tone for the interplay between fragility and strength. Throughout, Ling explored contrasts like burnt edges against pristine tailoring, sheer fabrics against molded metal, innocent draping against savage cut-outs. Accessories became part of the narrative too: 3D-printed roses, knife-handled bags, padlock fastenings, and jewelry that looked like it had been unearthed from some imagined archaeological site.

What made the collection resonate was its duality. For every sharp-shouldered blazer, there was a gossamer tee and skirt; for every sculpted metallic bodice, a fragile chiffon slip. These pieces carried the sense of both relics and futures, embodying Ling’s idea that what we make today will eventually be studied tomorrow. The cast Ashley Graham, Quannah Chasinghorse, Precious Lee, and Ugbad Abdi among them brought body inclusivity and modernity to the vision, reinforcing that this wasn’t futurism for a single type of woman, but a broader statement on strength, beauty, and identity.

The beauty styling matched the mood: sleek hair, sharp nails, shadowed eyes. Altogether, it amplified the moody sensuality of the collection. By the time the finale tree-branch couture dress closed the show, Ling had made her point clear her clothes are objects meant to endure, to be remembered, even hopefully studied as artifacts.
