This collection is one where Marie Antoinette lives in 2025, adores pastels, and has a soft spot for pop music. Titled “The New Court,” the collection played with 18th-century silhouettes—panniers, corsets, ruffles filtered through a youthful, modern lens.
Set inside the ornate Pavillon Cambon in Paris, the show opened with a sultry twist. Lara Stone, Sasha Pivovarova, and Isabeli Fontana strutted down the staircase in corseted black velvet gowns—seductive, sculptural, and surprisingly minimal. It was a bold contrast to what followed: a sugary explosion of macaron hues like rose pink, mint, pistachio, and baby blue.
Inspired in part by a rewatch of Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, the show felt playful and cinematic—underscored by the soundtrack’s cheeky use of “I Want Candy.” And candy it was. Think flowing capes, poufed skirts, delicate lace, and bugle-beaded florals—all crafted with Saab’s signature finesse. Every detail was meticulous, from knotted duchess satin to feathered pyramid gowns. French fabrics, antique techniques, and light padding gave volume without stiffness—showcasing just how far Saab’s craftsmanship can go. It’s not everyday errands Saab dresses for—it’s the moments that call for a little magic.
