Taking cues from YSL’s 90s haute couture era, Vaccarello leaned into simplicity while letting colour and structure do all the talking. Think power dressing with a softer, more fluid twist. This collection, too, was about purity—an exploration of silhouette and fabric, where minimalism met opulence.

The palette was absolutely stunning—fuchsia, emerald, amethyst, and ochre flooded the runway in high-collared coats, sleek blouses, and narrow skirts. The signature inverted triangle silhouette was everywhere, with those strong shoulders tapering down to a clean, minimalist finish. And let’s not forget the leather blousons—now a Saint Laurent staple under Vaccarello—oozing effortless cool with their bold, shrug-it-on attitude.

Eveningwear flipped the script with voluminous ball skirts paired with silky camisoles and leather jackets. The absence of overt ornamentation allowed the shapes and textures to do the talking. Accessories played their part—sleek slingbacks, sculptural gold earrings, and dramatic leather gauntlets added just the right amount of edge.

What stood out most was the honesty behind Vaccarello’s vision. He stripped the collection down to its essence, letting emotion and craftsmanship lead the way. His refusal to include handbags or engage in product placement felt like a statement as well.

Vaccarello proved once again that Saint Laurent isn’t just about looking back—it’s about bringing the past, carefully curated, into the now.
