Set in the brand’s Paris atelier, the collection was a tribute to the goddess Venus, a timeless symbol of beauty, femininity, and power. Pieter Mulier, the brand’s creative director, took these themes and transformed them into a striking display of form, texture, and movement.
At the heart of the collection were sculptural, body-conscious silhouettes that played with structure in an entirely new way. Hooded tops framed the face like a portrait, voluminous skirts swayed with a hypnotic rhythm, and metal-sculpted dresses shimmered under the runway lights. Mulier’s work this season pushed the boundaries of what clothing can be, making each piece feel more like a kinetic sculpture. The fabrics had that tactile appeal—lightweight knits, crisp cottons, and silky materials that moved beautifully.
One of the standout design elements was the use of padded rolls that encircled hips, shoulders, and faces, creating shapes that were both protective and empowering. The craftsmanship on display was nothing short of masterful—pleated skirts floated weightlessly, intricate knitwear wrapped the body seamlessly, and sculpted coats exuded a regal presence.
His references spanned continents and centuries, drawing inspiration from historical silhouettes, tribal adornments, and contemporary sculpture. Yet, despite its avant-garde nature, the collection remained grounded in Alaïa’s core philosophy: celebrating the female form in all its beauty and complexity.
