Puglisi is no stranger to celebrating Italy’s rich heritage. This time, he channeled Pompeii’s frescoes, lava flows, and mythology into designs that feel both opulent and fresh. The volcanic theme runs deep—devoré velvet dresses shimmer like molten rock, while trench coats and denim pieces echo the rugged beauty of ancient ruins.

Of course, this wouldn’t be a Cavalli collection without some signature animal prints. Leopard print makes its expected appearance, but Puglisi tempers the brand’s usual maximalism with a softer touch. Slips adorned with intricate 3D embroidery and flowing gowns that mimic the movement of lava offer a sense of romance and mystery. It’s a more refined take on the house’s usual bold aesthetic, proving Puglisi isn’t afraid to evolve the brand.

Outerwear is a standout, with faux furs and black leather coats giving off a smoky, sultry vibe. Accessories complete the look with lava stones, pearls, and oversized cameos, while serpentine bags and sneakers nod to the eternal symbolism of the snake—sensual, powerful, and always transforming.

But for all the drama, the collection felt a little too structured, too restrained. Where was the full-throttle Cavalli sex appeal? What I really wanted was in-your-face, unapologetic sexiness.
