Erdem Moralioglu’s latest collection, created in collaboration with artist Kaye Donachie, is a stunning display of impressionist artistry. This partnership feels deeply personal, At the heart of the collection is a portrait of Moralioglu’s late mother, Marlene, which Donachie painted years ago.

Her ethereal, blue-toned likeness appeared on the very first dress—a simple wraparound piece that set the tone for a show filled with delicate beauty and memory. Donachie’s painterly style—soft-edged figures, blurred florals, and moody hues—became the foundation for intricate prints, embroidery, and textural embellishments.

The collection’s craftsmanship is breathtaking. Layers of organza, intricate hand-dyed fabrics, and bold yet romantic silhouettes brought Donachie’s artistic language to life. Oversized floral motifs, reminiscent of watercolor strokes, appeared on neoprene coats, while textured embroidery in rich hues of navy, claret, and burgundy added depth and movement to each piece. Even the accessories carried the painterly theme, with curving brass tulips as handles on Erdem’s new Bloom bags.

Despite the artistic depth, the collection remained wearable. The blend of structured, nipped-waist dresses and flowing, expressive designs struck a balance between eccentricity, elegance and emotion. Truly gorgeous!
