Titled “Radici,” or “Roots” in Italian, the collection was a tribute to the elements that have defined Armani’s aesthetic: fluid silhouettes, rich textures, and a refined color palette.
From the start, the show exuded a sense of calm and sophistication. Instead of the usual fashion week frenzy, Armani’s models glided down the runway in a setting reminiscent of a luxurious café. The atmosphere was intimate, allowing the focus to remain on the clothes rather than theatrics.
Armani’s signature tailoring was ever-present but reimagined in softer, more relaxed forms. Jackets had a deconstructed ease, often belted at the waist or cut in wrap styles inspired by global influences. The trousers, a standout feature, flowed effortlessly—some cinched at the ankle, others draped in elegant pleats, all moving with quiet confidence.
Earthy tones dominated the color palette, reinforcing the collection’s connection to nature and heritage. Shades of chocolate brown, deep olive, and mineral grays created a sense of warmth and timelessness. The eveningwear shimmered with subtle embellishments, from intricate embroidery to sheer layers adorned with delicate beading. Though I wanted to like this collection a bit more than I did, the eveningwear was somewhat disappointing.
Accessories played a crucial role in shaping the looks. Wide belts cinched waists, sculptural chokers added structure, and the brimless hats provided a touch of vintage charm.
