This collection was one of the best-styled shows of the season—effortless, cool, and brimming with whimsy. Marco De Vincenzo played with textures and prints in a way that felt both rich and restrained, making every look feel incredibly intentional yet completely wearable. The show opened with a knockout: a bold black-and-white striped wool fur coat, layered over slouchy paisley trousers and a knitted waistcoat. It set the tone for a collection that embraced the brand’s signature maximalism while keeping the silhouettes deeply sleek.
Furs were everywhere this season, but Etro’s stood out. The thick jacquards, statement wool coats, and wild fringes gave the collection a tactile intensity, while the prints—dense florals, abstracted paisleys, and intricate embroideries—added an almost mystical depth. De Vincenzo collaborated with Korean artist Maria Jeon on embroidered motifs inspired by fantastical zoology, which appeared on airy organza tunics and sweeping dusters. The whole collection had a sense of storytelling, as if each piece carried its own meaning.
The set, designed by Roman art collective Numero Cromatico, featured a massive illustrated curtain of mythical creatures, hinting at the collection’s theme of prehistory meeting science fiction. This idea of origin and evolution was reflected in the garments, where ancient-feeling prints and handcrafted details met contemporary ease.
Despite the lavish prints and textures, some of the best looks were the most restrained—tonal patterns, slouchy but precise layering, and soft, rich fabrics that moved beautifully.
