The grand Georgian townhouse that served as the backdrop wasn’t just a stage—it was a portal into a world of timeless glamour and sophistication.
Quinn envisioned a scene unfolding after an opulent black-tie affair, perhaps a pre-wedding dinner or a day-after celebration. The guests, dressed in exquisite couture, stepped out into the cold night, their gowns illuminated by the soft glow of Victorian street lamps. Snowflakes drifted down from above, adding a dreamlike quality to the spectacle. It was fashion as pure fantasy
The runway was dominated by a striking black-and-white palette, a departure from the designer’s usual bold florals. This minimalist approach allowed the intricate details of each garment to shine. The collection was heavily influenced by 1950s and ’60s couture, with cinched waists, voluminous skirts, and expertly draped fabrics creating a sense of timeless glamour. Satin bows, delicate rose corsages, and cascading tulle veils added a touch of romance to the otherwise structured looks.
Quinn’s love for embellishment was evident throughout, with sequined embroidery and beadwork catching the light as models walked through the falling snow. A standout piece was a black velvet column dress with an aqua shawl top. Despite the dominance of monochrome, Quinn couldn’t resist injecting a few softer hues into the mix. A mint tulle gown with feather detailing and a lemon curd-colored Sixties-style dress provided subtle pops of color, proving that winter fashion doesn’t have to be entirely devoid of vibrancy. The final bridal looks, featuring sheer veils and intricately detailed dresses, further cemented Quinn’s reputation as a designer capable of blending craftsmanship with fairytale romance. The bridal angle is very strong. The man is a great businessman, or at least has the knack for it.
