With the world in turmoil, Reed used his runway to reflect on themes of rebellion, protection, and self-expression. His designs were declarations.

The collection wove together elements of Victorian fashion, British punk, and queer history, all executed with a modern sensibility. The crinoline cages, once used to shape women’s silhouettes into restrictive idea

The color palette was more restrained than in past seasons, beginning with stark black and gradually introducing rich cobalt blue and gold. These hues served as a perfect backdrop for the meticulous detailing that defined the collection.

Reed’s signature corsetry remained at the heart of the collection, but with a newfound sense of structure and purpose. Rather than being hidden beneath layers of fabric, the crinoline cages stood exposed, transforming the garments into a striking interplay of vulnerability and strength. One particularly breathtaking look featured a hoop skirt extending outward like a protective shell, paired with a bralette that sprouted delicate golden antennae. Another standout piece, a tailored bomber jacket, played with contrast by incorporating cutouts at the bust, revealing tiny embroidered flowers.

The craftsmanship behind these pieces was undeniable. Reed collaborated with British lighting and furniture brand Porta Romana to incorporate 3D-printed elements, adding an almost futuristic edge to the otherwise historically inspired designs. This technique was most evident in the spiked, sea-urchin-like embellishments that adorned various pieces, serving as both armor and decoration.

Savile Row deadstock wool was used for structured peplums, while soft chiffon introduced an element of fluidity. The balance between rigid architectural elements and flowing fabrics was expertly executed, ensuring the collection never felt weighed down by its grandeur.
