The first model, a take on Little Red Riding Hood, wore a corduroy balloon jacket dress with a floral print resembling camo. Many models sported hoods or oversized bee-eye sunglasses, walking with exaggerated femininity and ending with taunting curtsies. It was a theatrical nod to embracing vulnerability while projecting power. This show was a striking contrast to the first show I remember, where girlies happily walked around a garden. This evolution in Taymour’s storytelling cements Collina Strada as a brand with not just style but soul.

Taymour’s use of sustainable materials stood out, with deadstock knits transformed into soft, chunky sweaters and upcycled wool overcoats adorned with hand-cut ribbons. Her signature whimsy continued with floral silk dresses, beaded mesh boots, and gowns crafted from heirloom wedding dresses—each telling a story of legacy reimagined for the present.

At its core, the collection embodied a world where femininity, queerness, and individuality are celebrated, not silenced. The show ended with models walking hand-in-hand, exchanging a kiss that drew cheers from the crowd. Taymour’s message was clear: joy and self-expression are acts of defiance in an uncertain world.
