This time, Rogers took a more introspective approach. Collaborating with Italian factories for tailoring, the collection felt more refined and tailored, yet retained his signature exuberance. As he put it, this was his most personal collection yet—an exploration of time, process, and artistic freedom. Drawing inspiration from artists like Ángela de la Cruz and Hélio Oiticica, he blended couture-level details with the surreal vibrance. The collection’s title, ‘Exhale,’ encapsulated the concept perfectly: a symbolic release of societal pressures and expectations. “It’s about letting go of the need to perform and focusing on what makes you feel fulfilled,” Rogers shared.

The collection walked us through the rainbow, starting with vibrant reds and oranges and transitioning into greens and yellows, culminating in multicoloured gowns and layered ensembles. The clothes showcase that CJR is one of fashion’s finest colourists. The fabrics ranged from matte cotton piques and twill to rich satins and wool tailoring. Even Rogers’s tailoring took on new dimensions, with fuzzy mohair duster coats in striking shades like acid yellow-green and tailored olive green trousers worn with oversized chartreuse shirts. Subtle corsetry details appeared across the collection, whether in a black corset gown with rainbow stitching or a black suit with red accents.

Though known for his exuberant occasionwear, Rogers’s daywear took centre stage here. Button-up dress shirts with contrast stitching, playful ribbons cascading from tailored trousers, and cosy, colour-blocked sweaters tied around waists added versatility to the collection. Despite the bold colour palette, the final look—a monochromatic brown wool coat with matching trousers—showed Rogers’s ability to pare things back.
