The theme revolved around witches, religious persecution, and ancient symbols, inspired by McQueen’s family connection to a victim of the Salem witch trials. It was bold and deeply personal. The show began in a dramatic setting—a red pentagram drawn in black sand, an inverted pyramid, and a creepy film showing locusts, skeletons, and fire. While the atmosphere was unforgettable, it sometimes distracted from the actual clothes.

The designs were creative and full of imagination. McQueen played with new shapes, moving away from his usual fitted styles to looser, pod-like structures paired with leather leggings. There were nods to ancient Egypt, like Nefertiti-inspired hairstyles and outfits that looked like they were made of gold and jewels. A gold-and-green gown with snake details and a fur coat dyed blue like bird feathers stood out as highlights. Despite the show’s dramatic setting, the clothes spoke for themselves.
