Set against a backdrop of black craft paper and filled with short, atmospheric films by Nicolas Winding Refn, the show was a meditation on life and humanity. The collection constantly shifts between minimalism and decoration, creating a dialogue between opposites—public and private, delicate and rough, spontaneous and controlled.
One of the standout features of the collection was the use of paper-like fabrics for dresses. These pieces were raw, torn, and seemingly unfinished, capturing the essence of human gestures and imperfections. It’s as if the garments were alive, shaped by the marks and traces of life itself. The theme of duality continued through the mix of day and evening wear, where tailored pieces were fused with more casual, intimate garments. Pastel-colored homewear blended effortlessly with outerwear, while industrial-inspired bodysuits hinted at a new, minimal Prada uniform.
Accessories, too, explored this blend of past and present, with antique-style nappa leather bags reinterpreting classic silhouettes. The collection’s varied colors—ranging from soft pastels to bolder tones—created a striking contrast with the underdone edges and unfinished details of the garments. These elements gave the clothes a sense of being in-progress, like works of art waiting to be completed.
This collection presented two sides of the Prada woman: the private, intimate persona and the public, bold one. Both were reflected in the juxtaposition of delicate, sheer gowns with the strong, angular shapes of tailored jackets and coats.
