This collection felt like a big shift from his usual dramatic style. The collection was inspired by the 1980s—think power suits, bold glamour, and figure-hugging designs—mixed with touches of ancient Greek fashion.

The show started with sleek black outfits, like tailored jackets paired with short skirts, shorts, and tights. These looks had a cool, slightly rocker vibe but were simple enough to wear off the runway. The dramatic cuts and bold shapes McQueen was known for were toned down, replaced with a more understated style.

For eveningwear, McQueen looked to Greek goddesses, but the results didn’t quite hit the mark. Shiny dresses, crystal details, and gold wraps felt more like costumes than the show-stopping creations fans expect from him. Even the metal body pieces, which were meant to wow, felt a little clunky.

McQueen called this collection a “transitional” one, where he was figuring out his direction. He focused on making sexy, wearable clothes, which was a smart move for selling pieces. But for a designer known for pushing boundaries, this collection felt a little underwhelming.
