Alessandra Facchinetti’s debut at Valentino strikes a perfect balance between respect for the house’s legacy and her own fresh perspective. Her take on romance, with subtle references to Van Dyck and contemporary sculpture, introduced light, flowing chiffon, and delicate embroidery.
The opening look of the show was absolutely brilliant— a white skirt suit with a ball-shaped skirt and curved hems that cleverly created space for movement. The color palette was dreamy, with soft, almost ethereal shades that gave the collection a light, whimsical feel. A pop of red was perfectly placed on key statement pieces. The coat dresses were stunning, especially one in rich teal with intricate black lace work. The gowns were gorgeously embellished, yet still light and airy, making them feel like perfect summer date outfits. Facchinetti did an excellent job of balancing maturity and youthfulness, creating a collection that feels truly fresh.
