McQueen’s Depression-era-inspired runway show was an immersive spectacle that fused fashion, dance, and storytelling. Set in Paris’s historic Salle Wagram, the performance reimagined They Shoot Horses, Don’t They? with choreography by Les Child, allowing the models to truly move and dance in the garments. McQueen’s usual rigid tailoring softened, making way for fluidity and drama.

The opening scene dazzled with fishtailed silver lamé gowns, cha-cha dresses, and extravagant feathered skirts, while pink corseted tutus over gray ballet sweats added playful contrast. Mint satin tap suits and checkerboard chiffon dresses twirled across the floor, each piece imbued with McQueen’s signature glamour. A standout moment featured a Billie Holiday-inspired look in pink charmeuse and ostrich feathers, capturing both elegance and drama.

Tailoring was reimagined with lingerie-like details, while body-hugging denim spliced with nude tulle brought a fresh edge. Embellished boots—an undeniable favorite—added flair to every step. The energy peaked with fluorescent chiffons and sporty pieces racing through the hall in a chaotic, high-heeled dash.

Daywear wasn’t forgotten, as quilted plaid shirts, skirts, and coats transformed humble materials into sexy, patchworked masterpieces. The finale—a dancer collapsing in a sequined gown—brought the house down.
