In her own words, Miuccia Prada wanted to focus on the present and find elegance in simplicity. This season, she stripped back the brand’s usual complexities, making the collection feel personal, intimate, and undeniably Prada.
What stood out most were the subtle nods to Prada’s past: ’90s minimalism, Deco-graphic prints, and even the high-waisted knickers reminiscent of 1940s stars like Betty Grable. But the true show-stealers were the extravagant details—ostrich feathers, marabou trimmings, and diamanté sparkles—that transformed everyday pieces into something extraordinary. A beige lemony wrap skirt, paired with a feather-trimmed coat, exemplified the effortless chic Prada is known for.
There was also an unexpected mixture of old and new. Retro plaid jackets were paired with modernistic touches like a floral dress worn over a printed button-up, or a feather-trimmed skirt matched with a leather peacoat. The mix felt fresh and playful, though some pieces, like turtleneck coats or high kimono collars, might not have been for everyone.
The footwear mirrored this blend of nostalgia and modernity. Kitten heels with feathered ankle trim evoked classic Hollywood glamour, while the clunky, embellished shoes gave a more contemporary edge. Prada’s use of ostrich feathers throughout the collection added a luxurious touch to minimalist silhouettes, from chic pajama-style eveningwear to plaid blazers paired with cotton candy-colored skirts.
