Inspired by the rich colors, textures, and spiritual significance of his roots, Owens incorporated Mayan motifs and old Hollywood glamour into his work, creating a collection that feels both personal and powerful.

Owens’ show was full of surprises. Known for his avant-garde style, he dialed back the shock factor this time, focusing on sequins and frills instead of nudity. His signature draping was present but softened by the glamour of sequins, adding a fresh layer to his work. The intricate designs, with geometric patterns and sparkling details, were inspired by both Mayan influences and the golden age of Hollywood.

Owens also brought a personal touch to this collection by exploring his Mexican roots through rich colors and textures. The pieces were comfortable yet dramatic, featuring oversized silhouettes and unique shapes. Some garments had the feel of blankets or armor, while others were enhanced with modern-tribal embellishments. The gold-leaf masks painted on the models’ faces tied everything together, invoking the spirit of Mayan deities. This collection was a beautiful fusion of history, personal meaning, and raw, elegant power.
