This collection was a vibrant homage to his mentor, the legendary Pierre Cardin. The 95-year-old designer, known for his Space Age and avant-garde style, made a rare appearance at the show, adding a touch of history to the moment. Gaultier, who once worked as Cardin’s assistant, embraced the spirit of the 1960s, but with his signature twist.

The collection was a playful journey through color, shape, and texture. Pops of Day-Glo hues and bold black-and-white patterns stood out, with fringe details taking center stage. Gaultier explored kinetic, graphic effects inspired by Cardin’s work, including sharp-shouldered jackets and fluid, swinging fabrics. His use of fringe was especially striking, from flowing dress hems to dramatic tuxedo sleeves.

A favorite look was the white spiral skirt, which stood out for its intricate design and fluid movement. While the collection echoed the ’60s, Gaultier’s personal touch made it feel fresh and full of fun, proving that fashion, like its legends, never grows old.
