Drawing inspiration from the classic film Metropolis and the 19th-century spirit of Confession of a Child of the Century, Gaultier created a unique narrative that celebrated the rebellious and vulnerable sides of human nature.

The show was a daring exploration of gender expression, with male models in dresses and corseted outfits, and women wearing masculine tailoring that evoked George Sand’s bold fashion statements. Tailcoats in crocodile, camel, and silk made repeated appearances, alongside striking silhouettes reminiscent of Dior’s classic designs.

Gaultier’s attention to detail was unmatched, from the sculptural bridal finale to kimono-style eveningwear and automaton-inspired pieces that echoed the film Metropolis. With rich colors like absinthe green, coral, and gold, the collection balanced romantic decadence with sharp craftsmanship.

Ultimately, it was a love letter to Paris—timeless but unreal. Gaultier’s collection was full of imagination and skill, proving why he is one of fashion’s most admired designers.
