Drawing inspiration from the classic film Metropolis and the 19th-century spirit of Confession of a Child of the Century, Gaultier created a unique narrative that celebrated the rebellious and vulnerable sides of human nature.

The show was a daring exploration of gender expression, with male models in dresses and corseted outfits, and women wearing masculine tailoring that evoked George Sand’s bold fashion statements.
