Drawing inspiration from 2015’s after-party vibe, the collection featured lots of skin and transparency, with sheer nylon knits, plastic inserts, and delicate plissé fabrics. While the designs were eye-catching, some of the fabrics, like allover crystals and heavy leather, were difficult to wear, offering less comfort than expected. The collection worked best when Rousteing kept things simple, like the elegant draped white tee paired with a crystal grid pencil skirt. Sexy, streamlined pieces like cutout dresses and strappy gowns, especially in fiery red, showcased Rousteing’s strength in balancing sensuality with structure. Models strutted in strong, confident silhouettes, from wide-legged trousers to body-con dresses, With a star-studded front row and bold designs, Balmain delivered a powerful collection.
