Showcased in Paris, this Stella McCartney collection is crafted from 91% sustainable materials, reinforcing McCartney’s dedication to ethical fashion. The designer’s passion for animal welfare and environmental responsibility was evident throughout, with no feathers used and pieces like the new Ryder bag, inspired by her love for horses, taking center stage.
The collection balances masculine and feminine elements, featuring oversized, strong-shouldered blazers and pinstriped suits alongside delicate, sensual dresses. McCartney’s minimalist approach is elevated with dramatic details like sparkling crystals, fluid draping, and intricate knitwear. Her creativity shines in accessories too, with hand-carved dove jewelry made from repurposed materials adding a thoughtful touch.
McCartney’s commitment to sustainability was evident throughout the collection. Ninety-one percent of the materials used were sustainable, including vegan leather, organic silk, and recycled materials. The designer also introduced the Ryder bag, a vegan handbag inspired by the shape of a horse’s back. The color palette was dominated by shades of red, black, and white, creating a striking visual impact.
The show was not just about fashion; it was a statement. McCartney’s “About F–king Time” slogan emphasized her call for change in the fashion industry, particularly in reducing the use of animal products. The collection’s airy, nature-inspired designs, such as silk dresses printed with doves, celebrated both beauty and consciousness.
