Held at the Musée Guimet, home to one of the largest collections of Asian art outside of Asia, the show was a fitting backdrop for this Peter Do collection. Titled “Grounded,” the show featured fabrics dyed using traditional techniques from Thailand, giving pieces a unique, earthy feel. Do’s collaboration with Philip Huang brought natural elements like leaves and tree bark into the dyeing process, resulting in soft, ombré patterns on fabrics like silk and chiffon.

The collection was a mix of loose, deconstructed pieces and more structured tailoring. Standout looks included a dark green chiffon tunic paired with matching trousers, sporty black puffers, and shredded denim. Do also introduced a new line called “168,” featuring seasonless, gender-neutral suits that added a personal touch with his own tattoo as a design element.

While the range of styles varied, there was a clear focus on craftsmanship and wearability. Long shirts were worn in unconventional ways, and adjustable ties offered versatility. The show closed with a performance by drag artist Plastique Tiara, adding a fun, lively twist to the presentation.

The show was a celebration of Do’s Vietnamese heritage, but it was also a showcase of his talent as a designer. Do’s ability to blend traditional craftsmanship with modern design is what makes his work so special.
