Under the creative direction of Casey Cadwallader, Mugler delves deep into the archives, pulling from Mugler’s historical inspiration while infusing the designs with a fresh, contemporary edge. The recurring theme of florals, which traditionally symbolizes romance and femininity, is reinterpreted here in a sharply geometric and almost menacing form. Dresses bloom with architectural precision, while petals are sliced and layered in unexpected, dramatic ways.

The collection, presented in the intimate setting of Le Trianon in Pigalle, brings a shift in focus—from Cadwallader’s usual theatrical spectacles to a more detailed exploration of craftsmanship. Jackets with wide, structured shoulders mimic blossoming flowers, while sleek pants and skirts emphasize the geometry of the human form. The use of delicate, hand-painted floral motifs on velvet and crystal-embellished dresses provides a contrast to the harder, corset-inspired tailoring, delivering a unique fusion of softness and sharpness.
