This Luar collection, presented outdoors at Rockefeller Plaza, was a vibrant homage to designer Raul López’s Dominican heritage and punk roots. The runway was flanked by two cars outfitted with chucheros, amplifying the high-energy atmosphere with an eclectic soundtrack of techno and bass. This setting resonated with López’s experiences growing up in Brooklyn, navigating the influences of his Dominican family and the downtown punk scene.

Titled “En Boca Quedó,” the collection showcased 53 looks that blended dramatic silhouettes with a sense of rebellion. Highlights included taffeta pieces designed to evoke a sense of armor while revealing the body, alongside an eye-catching oversized leather jacket-dress. López’s signature dramatic shapes were complemented by a mix of casual staples, like stretchy workout sets and workwear-inspired trousers, ensuring there was something for everyone. Exaggerated makeup added a striking element, featuring leather eyebrows and leopard-print tattoos. Beyond the striking visuals, the collection offered a range of pieces, from oversized leather jackets to sleek workout sets. The use of liquid black metal and the inclusion of hidden details, such as dollar bills in hoods, added drama.
