For this collection, Reed scoured various second-hand markets, from Etsy to eBay, to find fabrics such as Art Nouveau lace, 19th-century silk damask, and vintage striped satin curtain panels. These reclaimed textiles are transformed into bold, dramatic pieces that celebrate both history and creativity. The designer’s inspiration for this collection stemmed from his love of storytelling and his personal experience decorating his new London home. Reed’s maximalist approach to interior design is reflected in the bold and dramatic silhouettes of his creations. From fishtail bias-cut skirts to white silk organza mini-dresses, each piece is a showcase of intricate craftsmanship and repurposed materials. Reed’s decision to use vintage fabrics not only adds a layer of history and authenticity to his designs but also aligns with the growing emphasis on sustainability. While the collection’s dramatic aesthetic may not be for everyone, it is undeniable that Reed’s energy shines through in each piece.
