This marked the first time a fashion show had been staged in the Guggenheim’s rotunda, Inspired by the museum’s spiraling design, Mulier created sculptural garments that played with form and movement. The collection honored Alaïa’s legacy, blending elements of American sportswear with references to iconic designers like Charles James and Halston. Mulier’s minimalist approach—no zippers or buttons—highlighted the purity and freedom he associates with American beauty. The show also celebrated Alaïa’s deep connection with New York, where the designer first gained recognition in the 1980s, it was a celebration of simplicity, modernity, and form. Sculptural silhouettes dominated, with pieces like palazzo pants and bandeau bras paired with airy skirts or ruffled pants. Mulier’s designs, characterized by their sculptural silhouettes, geometric shapes, fluid silhouettes and intricate detailing, seamlessly blended with the museum’s architectural grandeur.

A collection you will fall in love with instantly—this Alaïa show is packed with statement-making looks. It’s true fashion, pure style, at its finest. Alaïa is the real deal, and Mulier? Honestly, Mulier is god-tier right now.
