This collection, predominantly in black and white with hints of extra bright yellow and pink is one of the quintessential Versace collections. Though I do believe it doesn’t get as much hype as it should. We see clean lines, structured silhouettes and some obviously signature Versace sexiness. The collection also featured prints by Julie Verhoeven reminiscent of Gianni Versace’s now iconic 90s sea-inspired motifs. While the evening wear in this collection was slightly underwhelming from what Versace usually serves – there were some delicious cocktail dresses with graphic fabric cutouts (especially a pink shimmery one with a heart motif on the chest). The play between sharpness and shapes is a standout here, visible in almost every aspect of the craftsmanship. Borderlining on almost rigid the collection as softened by Versace’s signature lusciousness.
