This collection has a lot going on. Remember the 2018 met gala theme ‘Heavenly Bodies’? That was partially inspired by this collection. This collection explored the concepts of sex, fetish, love, weddings and religion. The collection starts with a priest walking out with truly what is the most glamorous priest outfit(?) ever! The bride and groom come next following the rest of the wedding party. As we move, we see more and more outlandish guests – Marie Antoinette, clowns, bondage gear loaded women, chic military women and quite a many more. The paradox in this collection is incredible – how can one say so much, show so much, and yet be subversive? Spotlighting the topics we see and live in everyday, this collection is truly a masterclass in how to deliver clear social commentary in art.
