Viewing this collection is like experiencing a fashion carnival. The sensory overload of color, texture, shape and layers is truly a delight to experience. Featuring references from across the globe this collection is Where’s Waldo to find cultural references. The soundtrack itself features, Punjabi music, tap dancing, Sean Paul, ballet and many more reflecting the coordinating/contrasting dance costumes to go along with them. It is the blend of cultures, music and costumes that made this collection of true joy. While I have sincerely criticized John Galliano’s not-so-subtle appropriation in most of his collections this was a rare exception. Coming to clothes -They were stunning and Dior craftsmanship never fails to amaze be it the tightly ruffled Flamenco skirts or heavily feathered coats. Unbelievable!
