Through diverse colors and extreme proportions, the designer showcases progress, combining outdoor, athleisure, and feminine aesthetics. Unexpected fits add dynamism, cohesively tying the unisex collection together. Stripped of distractions, the focus rests on clothes. Even with some spectacular silhouettes and a playful color palette, what this collection lacks was cohesive construction and craftsmanship. I understand that the brand has never been one for high-end tailoring but for this collection, it was especially disappointing. The crumpled looks didn’t help either. One of the standouts was the attainable styling; one could easily recreate some of these very on-trend runway moments. But all in all, this was one of the more underwhelming collections by Jacquemus.
