Iris Van Herpen spoiled us with her brilliance so it’s hard to expect anything but the unexpected. Inspired by ‘Entangled Life’ by Merlin Sheldrake, her designs explore the intricate world of fungi, featuring pleating resembling mushroom gills and mycelium-inspired silhouettes. Through her craftsmanship, she connects fashion and science, showcasing nature’s beauty and fostering a harmonious bond between wearer and garment.

Her one-of-a-kind designs, now enhanced by 3D printing, redefine exclusivity. A more colorful palette this season and a slightly more commercial approach as well. Among many looks, there was a gorgeous purple gown that kind of stole my heart. A minidress in all shades of rich blue was absolutely stunning and surprisingly hot. Her collections evoke the enigmatic essence of undiscovered oceanic creatures.
