Carolina Herrera’s timeless elegance meets Wes Gordon’s playful verve at the brand’s 40th anniversary, showcasing pomp and circumstance reminiscent of its heyday. I have been in love with Gordon’s vision for Herrera since he started; his dedication to the old school romanticism and fantastical escapism. It is a love affair that has spanned the seasons, I find myself continuously drawn to his vibrant creations. With each collection, he effortlessly weaves a tapestry of exquisite craftsmanship and timeless silhouettes that evoke a sense of nostalgia.
From thigh-baring cocktail dresses to tuxedo reinterpretations, the collection captures both tradition and trends. My favorites included a regal black-and-white striped duchesse satin dress to a voluminous layered tulle gown. A line of silk taffeta gowns ended the collection ranging in blazing red and pretty pink. This collection was full of hits.
