Their collection features dresses and coats that transform from rib-knit bodies into vibrant eruptions of taffeta strips, exuding confidence while celebrating nature’s abundant tapestry. The floral designs, inspired by endangered and extinct flowers, were meticulously illustrated based on specimens from the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. This collection not only showcases Burton’s emphasis on British tailoring heritage.

Drawing inspiration from vintage aesthetics and vibrant flora, the designs featured an array of textures and styles. Bougainvillea pink hues bloomed across the collection, adorning sheer tiered skirts, ruffle tops, and taffeta skirts. Complementing these intricate details, Sarah Burton introduced tailored pieces, such as military suits, laser-cut leather skirt suits, and tuxedo jackets, embroidered with silver herbs.

Even though it is a fairly basic McQueen collection with all the brand signatures, for some reason it remains one of my favorites. It feels comforting and familiar; sometimes that’s all you need!
